Pricing
To calculate the price of your quilting you will need to measure all four sides of your
quilt top.
You will use the longest of the length x the width. You will then take that figure and
multiply it times 0.018. This will give you the total of the edge to edge quilting
charge.
REMEMBER this figure does not include batting, nor thread, only the quilting itself.
Quilt Preparation
Have BACKING cut at least 10 inches larger than your quilt top.
Lay your quilt out on a flat surface and verify that the quilt (especially the
borders) lay flat.
Have quilt top trimmed to final finished size. We will not "cut-down" a quilt
top.
Remove all excess loose threads.
Remove all pins, buttons and/or other embellishments.
Have quilt top and backing fabric completely pressed, making sure all
seams are pressed flat.
Use one safety pin to mark the top of the quilt top.
Have ALL exteriors seam endings back_stitched to prevent them from
pulling open. This also applies to the backing fabric if it has been pieced.
Fullness and/or puckers within a quilt and
its borders cannot be quilted out. Although
we try our best, we cannot guarantee that
puckers and tucks will not be sewn in. In
some cases, excessive fullness in borders
square. The flatter your quilt lays,
the better the finished results are.
